The Stovax Heating Group, including both our Stovax solid fuel and Gazco gas and electric brands, is moving. Having outgrown our current buildings and production facilities, we are relocating to a new, purpose-built facility at Skypark, Exeter – anticipated for a 2022 move. Read on to find out more!
Spanning over 100 acres, Skypark has been dubbed Exeter’s new generation of Business Park, combining industrial, office, and distribution space all in one place, with plans for it to become the most significant Business Park in the South West.
Located near Exeter Airport and only 1. 5 miles away from our current location, our new premises will house brand-new offices and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, allowing us to continue to invest in our world-leading Research & Development functions, and offering scope for improvements to our logistics, communications, and productivity.
Our new base at Skypark meets our high requirements for a premium, sustainable space to facilitate the expansion of our manufacturing and business operations under one roof.
Relocating our current 10 sites to this almost 200,000 square feet specially designed facility will not only ensure we retain our strong local supply chain, it will also significantly speed up our operations, increase our production rate and efficiency, and lower our operating costs.
The building has been designed to the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard, putting the proposed facility in the top 10% of UK non-domestic buildings in terms of sustainability performance. BREEAM rated developments are more sustainable environments that enhance the wellbeing of the people who work in them, allowing us to retain our knowledgeable and valued local employee base whilst helping to protect natural resources.
Incorporating the latest technology, insulation, and heat recovery and cooling systems, our new environmentally-considered building also allows us to reduce our commercial energy usage and carbon footprint. This is a vital step in securing the sustainability of our operation as the market leader in our sector.

We have been watching the build from day one wondering who was going to occupy such a large premises. I was surprised to see the sign go up yesterday for Stovax Gazco. Having seen the name at Sowton for years it is great to see that you have chosen to consolidate out here at Skypark.
