Rose & Bud

Tube lining is a method of decorating glazed items developed in the late 19th Century and used extensively during the Arts and Crafts and art nouveau periods.

The Rose and Bud tile is decorated with a technique called raised line decoration. Here the outline is embossed onto the body of the tile before colour glazes are applied.
